SARS-CoV-2-Ω

SARS-CoV-2-Ω is a post-apocalyptic stealth game developed with Unity, in which players can throw stones or play the radio to attract zombies and break out of an encirclement.
Beginning with rough sketches: sneak pathways, entry and exit points, obstacles, and zones for zombie gatherings were set up.
During the prototyping phase, we iterated several times, strategically placing obstacles like cars along the player’s path to enhance the difficulty.
Zombies have poor eyesight but are highly sensitive to sounds. Consequently, we designed a sophisticated noise system that simulates different levels of sound for running, jumping, and other activities.
Of course, players can throw rocks or play the radio, to divert zombie attention and cover their tracks, facilitating their escape from encirclements.
Zombies also have their tracking system. Their movement area is limited by a designated navigation mesh area.
For a realistic post-apocalyptic ambiance, we applied post-processing techniques such as color grading and auto exposure, which adjusts the brightness when looking into darker areas, and added ambient occlusion to enhance depth and realism.
